Due to the sea-mountain combination, Pelion is the ideal place for activities and walks in nature throughout the year.

According to Greek mythology, the paths of Mount Pelion have been walked by Gods, Demigods, Centaurs, Nymphs, Giants, Kings and Legendary Warriors as Achilles and Jason.

Pelion is, without a doubt, one of the top destinations in Greece.

Visitors of Pelion have the chance to enjoy various summer activities such as swimming, sea kayaking, diving in the beautiful coasts and seaside resorts. They can also go hiking in the paths of the forest, mountain biking, climbing and horse riding. The cruises organized in Pagasetic Gulf and Sporades with an authentic sailing boat are also interesting.

In winter, the main attraction is the ski resort Agriolefkes in Chania, where the visitor has the chance to do winter sports in organized facilities at the top of Mount Pelion with a view to the Aegean Sea and the Pagasetic Gulf. Also, for the 4x4 lovers, there are many dirt tracks in the mountain.

Particularly interesting is the canyoning that is organized in the gorges of Fakistra, Mylopotamos, Centaurs and Galanorema.
